This pink and white Elizabethan dress is made from Japanese paper embellished with glass beads and metallic thread, and is hand stitched on cold-pressed 100% cotton paper. It is based on a dress from: Challamel, Augustin, Frances Cashel Hoey, and John Lillie, 'The history of fashion in France; or, The dress of women from the Gallo-Roman period to the present time'. London: Low, Marston, Searle, & Rivington. 1882.
The dress is six inches tall, stitched by hand on 8x10 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall.
Materials: Chiyogami, Japanese tissue, other Japanese paper, glass beads, metallic thread, and cotton floss on cotton paper.
